Reception Phonics
We use the Read write Inc phonics programme to teach phonics.
In reception we learn a new sound everyday, starting with set 1 sounds. Each week we will post the sounds we have been learning.
Please watch the video of how we pronounce the sounds so that you can help your child at home to secure learning.
We will have a phonics meeting this half term to run through how we teach your child to read and what you can do to help.
Check out this video to help your child learn the alphabet. Can they sing an alphabet song? Do they know all the capital letters and lower case?
